RailSA has grown to become the leading website for South Australian railway and tramway discussion, information and news since it was launched on April 10th, 2005. The oldest and most popular section of RailSA, the forum, today features more than 4,600 topics of discussion and 660 members from around the world.
Over the past seven years RailSA has been proud to support a number of worthwhile causes and initiatives, including the now-successful petition to protect South Australia’s iconic Barossa Wine Train from overseas interests, and the fight to save Nuriootpa’s century-old railway station from demolition. Most recently we have lead a high-profile campaign to preserve the historic Islington Railway Workshops precinct from commercial re-development.
