As attendees of the SARMA meet last night no doubt noticed part of the N Gauge layout was pulled out from its hiding spot and set upon by a scenery wrecking maniac....

Whether or not this is going to be a total refurbishment for exhibition standard I have no idea, but I have permission to start modifying the thing and Im going with it! A serious modernization is going to be needed and the rolling stock is my first focus while I wait for replacement scenics to go where the forests of dead trees and bushes were previously....

So I'm appealing to N-gauge collectors who have any of the following:

- Graham Farish or Dapol English locos/wagons/coaches- whether steam era or later
- Reasonably modern American prototype locos and rolling stock- Norfolk and Western or Santa Fe the preferred
- Anything at all Australian in good condition and not from pre 90s
- Figurines...and are there any animals in N gauge?
- any buildings you have lying around in good condition I'd love to see!

If you cannot get that DGP ALF kit take a leaf from my book, use a 81 class body either Powerline or AR and file the sides flat and cut off the dip in the underframe and glue and pad up new flat sides onto the model and work it up from there, the cab at the appropriate end then simply has its windows filled up after gluing some flat sheet styrene inside the body to cover the windows. I have several AL's and ALF's done this way!

You need a 81 class though because the AL / ALF has that sloping roof on the cab top, where the BL / G is flat!

OR a cheaper method is contact "Graham's Corner" and he should be able to help you out with a AL class body made by Powerline. Cost is roughly around $80 plus a deposit something like $10.
