Orient Express Reproductions:
In the latest Catchpoint magazine, the OER advert has announced a NRM mixed pack and a Steamranger mixed pack of the OB, OBf and DWf wagons. 3 wagons for $109. Delivery due to be in June with part proceeds of the packs going to the respective organisations. All wagons will be painted as they are at the respective organisations. They have also announced the release of the OG mixed pack. This will contain an OG, OGf and DWf.
Orient Express Reproductions have announced that they will be doing a re-run of the popular South Australian wagons, the OB, OBf and DWf wagons. These will have new liveries and new running numbers. The DWf will now come with 2 different ANR Liveries: Grey with red ANR Logos on the doors, and ANR Red with silver roof.
The O wagon has also been announced with all new tooling to the OB wagon.
Expected Release dates for all of the above is the 2nd quarter of 2013.
Wayside Wagons are pleased to announce that the SAR 350 shunter is currently in production. This kit will be a one piece body with brass etch vents and handrails. The kit is designed to fit straight onto the Bachmann 70Tonner chassis, with no modifications needed. The kit comes with decals for both 350 and 351. A price is still to be decided on as is the ETA of this kit.
The SAR 500/600 Class steel car bogey is upto the final test. We are now awaiting on the arrival of this test print. Once we are happy with these bogies, they will be available exclusively through End of the Line Hobbies at Victor Harbour.
Wayside Wagons are also working on producing a range of detail items, the first being the humble South Australian Stobie Pole. These are currently available through our shapeways shop.
Strath Hobbies/End of The Line Hobbies
Strath Hobbies along with End of the Line Hobbies are pleased to announce the release of the GP/GPA/AOKF and GH/GHA/AOKF coal wagons used between Leigh Creek and the power stations outside Pt Augusta.
The Kits will be a 2 piece polyurethane casting. One casting will be the sides and ends preformed into a box, and the 2nd casting will be the floor.
Hungry boards for the wagons will be available seperately, however a coal load, bogies and decals come included.
These will be great to run behind the long awaited Trainorama GM’s, so start stocking up on the wagons now so you can have a decent rake to haul behind them.
