100 Class

The striking 'Blue Bird' railcars operated country passenger services throughout South Australia between 1954 and the end of 1990. The 100 Class were unpowered 'trailer' cars and had to be operated with either a 250 Class or 280 Class power car. All but one have now been converted to crew accommodation cars, pictured below, for private long-haul freight operators.
