280 Class

The striking 'Blue Bird' railcars operated country passenger services throughout South Australia between 1954 and the end of 1990. The 280 Class were essentially powered parcel vans and, unlike the 100 Class and 250 Class, did not carry any passengers. Only three were constructed, and all were scrapped in the 1980s.
