Extra rail services for AC/DC concert

Extra train and tram services will be available after the AC/DC Black Ice Tour at Adelaide Oval tomorrow night. Trains with four and three cars will complement the regular Belair, Gawler, Noarlunga and Outer Harbor line services after 10:30pm until last service.

Electric rail plan moving ahead

Expressions of interest are about to be called from companies wanting the contract to electrify Adelaide’s rail network. A $1.4 billion electric rail service is expected to be in operation by 2013, with work on the Seaford and Gawler lines due to start in 2011.

Trains halted after cyclist accident

A MAN was lucky to escape serious injury when a train hit the rear wheel of his bike at Salisbury Interchange. The man suffered minor injuries, including abrasions to his arms, chest and back in the near-miss, which happened just before 6.30pm.
