Rail work delays keep trams off peak-hour tracks
The trams will not run tomorrow morning after construction delays at the South Rd tram overpass.
Substitute bus services that have been operating over the weekend will continue this morning and Adelaide Metro staff will be at all tram stops to direct passengers to the buses.
A spokeswoman for Department of Transport, Energy and Infrastructure said trams would resume as soon as possible and would be fully operational for the afternoon peak period.
The delay was caused by the new track “not settling”.
Traffic on South Rd will not be affected.
